Loss Model Development at JBA Risk Management

Alex is a lead catastrophe risk analyst at JBA Risk Management. With more than 10 years’ experience in the insurance sector in both catastrophe risk modelling and flood risk management, he currently leads a team of modellers, analysts and software developers to build catastrophe models that inform insurance and financial sectors, governments and NGOs about current and future flood risk.
Before joining JBA, Alex worked as Catastrophe Modelling Manager at Lloyds Banking Group and was responsible for the natural catastrophe view of risk for General Insurance.
Alex has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Geography and a Master of Science (MSc) in Hydrology and Climate Change from the University of Newcastle.
