Terry Chowanec is the Vice President of National Security Operations with Cadillac Fairview Corporation and has been based in Toronto for the last 7 years. He has been with Cadillac Fairview for nearly 9 years, starting with the company on his return to Canada as the regional director for security and life safety in Western Canada.

Cadillac Fairview is one of the largest owners, operators, and developers of best-in-class office, retail, and mixed-use properties in North America. The company also invests in retail, mixed-use, and industrial real estate in Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico. Valued at more than $30 billion, Cadillac Fairview owns over 36 million square feet of leasable space at 66 properties in Canada, including landmark developments, such as Toronto-Dominion Centre, CF Toronto Eaton Centre, CF Pacific Centre, and CF Chinook Centre.

Prior to joining Cadillac Fairview, Terry led police reform projects throughout the U.S. and internationally while based in Washington, D.C., with the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) in Washington, D.C. Terry Chowanec is a former member of the Calgary Police Service with assignments in patrol, the Drug Unit, Criminal Intelligence, in the Chief's Office, and finally as the Staff Sergeant in charge of Internal Affairs. Terry holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and International Relations from the University of Manitoba.
