Claus-Ulrich Kroll is President and Chief Executive Officer of Munich Reinsurance Company of Canada (MROC) and Temple Insurance Company (Temple). Prior to transferring to Canada in April 2019, Claus was the Head of a Divisional Unit for Munich Reinsurance Company with responsibility for the Global Aviation and Space business, as well as the subsidiaries Munich Re of Malta plc., Great Lakes Insurance SE and New Reinsurance Company Ltd.
Having joined Munich Reinsurance Company in 2008 in the Corporate Strategy Department, developing and implementing strategic and transformational projects, he went on to hold various positions of increasing responsibility within Munich Reinsurance Group. Claus has acquired over 20 years’ experience in the global reinsurance and insurance markets.
Claus is a member of the Board of Directors of Munich Reinsurance Company of Canada and Temple Insurance Company. He serves on several external Boards, including the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC), the Institute for Catastrophic Loss Reduction (ICLR) and the Canadian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (CGCIC), and is also member of the Advisory Committee for the National Insurance Conference of Canada (NICC).
