James Heigh

James Heigh is an operational expert with over 20 years of experience in progressive business, emergency management and construction industries. He was a founding member of the Province of BC’s smoke-jumper program and tasked with responding to emergencies across Canada. He has worked with national and international incident management teams responding to natural disasters.
James is currently a Managing Principal with Colliers Project Leaders, providing owner’s representation and advocacy for communities with complex projects. In the past year, James and his team have led recovery projects in Lytton, Merritt and Abbotsford. His experiences have given him a unique perspective on planning for disaster mitigation and resilient infrastructure.
