Weather Peril Lead at Swiss Re
Andreas is the Weather Perils Lead in Swiss Re’s Cat Perils & Cyber division (CPC), which is responsible for Swiss Re’s global natural catastrophe and cyber risk assessment. He is part of the CPC Portfolio team where he owns CPC’s global R&D agenda on secondary perils, and drives its execution in collaboration with the regional teams, underwriters, and risk management. Prior to joining CPC in 2019, he worked for many years as a senior underwriter for weather and agricultural risks at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.
Andreas holds a Masters degree in Physics from the University of Munich, and a PhD in Atmospheric Sciences from ETH Zurich.
