Janot Mendler de Suarez
Visiting Research Fellow at Boston University Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future
Janot MENDLER de Suarez is a climate policy advisor, facilitator of collaborative multi-stakeholder consultative processes, and has worked in over 75 countries. As a World Bank consultant, she is currently gamifying a disaster responsive and resilient public finance management toolkit, and facilitates arts-infused Anti-Racism trainings around the world. After a decade as knowledge manager for the Global Environment Facility’s International Waters focal area, Janot joined the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre as a Technical Advisor and currently works on conflict zone climate risk screenings, health risk forecasting, anticipatory action and social protection. A Visiting Research Fellow with Boston University’s Pardee School for Global Studies, she is collaborating with Lunar University, has contributed to the HKW (Berlin) Anthropocene Campus, and piloted the first internet-mediated Geography MSc targeting developing country environmental professionals as a Senior Lecturer at Royal Holloway, University of London. Janot serves on her home town Human Rights, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, and chairs the Community Multicultural Festival.
