Mark Schuster

Severe Weather Meteorologist at Environment and Climate Change Canada

My name is Mark Schuster and I have been a meteorologist for the past 10 years. I specialize in severe weather forecasting out of the Ontario Storm Prediction Centre within the Meteorological Service of Canada. Our team is responsible for issuing various weather watches, warnings and advisories in Ontario to keep people informed and safe. As well, we issue regular public and marine forecasts. My love of meteorology dates back as far as I can remember.

Prior to joining the Meteorological Service of Canada, I studied Atmospheric Science at York University. I obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science degree, a Certificate in Meteorology, as well as a Masters of Science.

Outside of meteorology, I have various interests such as camping, physical fitness and astronomy.
