Jeff Rohrer
Director of Communications and Events at IBC
Jeff has an extensive background in strategic communications, media and government relations in the public, private and non-profit sectors. He has led several award-winning teams recognized by the Internal Association of Business Communicators and the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) for excellence in media relations, digital and internal communications.
In his role at Insurance Bureau of Canada, Jeff provides counsel on strategic communications and plays a key role in advancing consumer education efforts, with a focus on financial literacy.
Prior to joining Insurance Bureau of Canada in 2016, he held various communications roles for the Minister of Education and the Minister of Health and Long-term Care for the province of Ontario. In addition, he served in senior roles with the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario and more recently, TVO.
Jeff holds a bachelor of arts from Wilfrid Laurier University and has earned the Accredited Public Relations designation. A dedicated community volunteer, he is a former co-chairperson and longtime board member for CPRS Toronto Society.
